The University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track position as Lecturer in Chinese to begin September 1, 2014. Initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal. Responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester, and coordinating between sections, department service, and working together with other units on campus to contribute to a growing program in Chinese Studies.
Minimum qualifications include an M.A. in Chinese language pedagogy, applied linguistics, or related fields (doctoral degree preferred); native or near-native fluency in Mandarin and English; and experience teaching university-level students.
