The Research Assistant will assist in the daily research activities of ongoing NIH funded projects in the Stress, Health and Addiction Research Program (SHARP) within the Department of Behavioral and Community Health at the University of Maryland, College Park. The Research Assistant will support research examining the neural mechanisms underlying substance use using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) on the College Park campus, in Washington, D.C. and at the National Institute for Drug Abuse Neuroimaging Research Branch in Baltimore, MD.
The research assistant will schedule and conduct fMRI assessments, administer behavioral and biological assessments, manage data collection, organization and dissemination, promote retention of study participants for long term follow-up appointment, work with IRB Liaisons
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a specialization in biological, behavioral or social sciences OR any combination of subsequent education and experience in a field for a total of two years

Additional Information: The research assistant must have the ability to travel frequently by private or public transportation to various facilities in the Washington, DC - Baltimore region.
