The University of Mary Hardin Baylor’s College of Education seeks Assistant / Associate Professor for its Doctor of Education Program beginning August 2014. UMHB seeks faculty who are active Christians and dedicated teacher-scholars to prepare students for leadership, service, and faith-informed discernment in a global society.
The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) Program offers three tracks: P-12, Higher Education and Leadership in Nursing Education.
Activities required of all faculty include exemplary teaching, curriculum development and student advising; professional attainment; and service to department, college, university, and the community. While primarily a teaching institution, UMHB recognizes and rewards research, publication, and other forms of scholarly attainment.
Teach doctoral courses in Educational Administration and related subjects. Full-time faculty members typically teach 12 hours per semester with three course preparations.
Excellent teaching and communication skills, a dedication to professional attainment, and commitment to quality improvement are essential. Must be active, committed Christian.
Doctoral degree in Education or related field, with a focus on issues in higher education or related field and experience teaching at the graduate level are required. Administrative experience in higher education, doctoral dissertation committee experience and excellent writing & presentation skills in scholarly or research activities are strongly preferred.
