Position Summary:
The University of the Incarnate Word seeks an enthusiastic, experienced, and collaborative colleague to teach and supervise research in Higher Education concentration of the Dreeben School of Education's Ph.D. program starting August 2012.

Essential Duties:
Responsibilities include contribution to the further development of the higher education concentration, teaching in the Ph.D. Program, advising and mentoring students, directing dissertation research, and working to advance the Ph.D. program in its emphasis on innovation in internationalization and technology in the Dreeben School of Education. The candidate should be willing to contribute to the university's mission of commitment to social justice through institutional and community service.  

Required Education:
Candidates for this position should hold a doctoral degree with preparation in higher education or a related field.  

Required Experience:
The candidate should have experience in leadership in higher education, directing dissertations, and working with underserved populations and culturally diverse students. The candidate should have the capacity to teach courses in higher education, experience with quantitative and qualitative research, and a record of scholarly research and publication.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to teach courses such as higher education evaluation and assessment, planning and development, finance, politics in education, and educational management. Ability to integrate instructional technology and diversity into teaching and student learning.
