Position Summary:
The Assessment Coordinator is responsible for the collection, analysis, monitoring and reporting of assessment data. The Coordinator is also responsible for the oversight, implementation and planning of the FSOP Assessment Plan. The Coordinator works with faculty and administrators to help develop appropriate assessment procedures. In addition to these duties, the Coordinator will be available to faculty for consultation on data collection and analysis of research projects.

1. Works with faculty to develop, implement, review and periodically update the FSOP Assessment Plan
2. Manages systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data related to student learning, program outcome performance, and mission effectiveness
3. Works with faculty to help interpret assessment data, develop assessments reports, and facilitate the use of the information for ongoing improvement in program and student learning
4. Coordinates all assessment activities including faculty evaluations by students
5. Prepares reports as needed for continuing accreditation activities
6. Oversees the implementation and use of FSOP assessment surveys and tools
7. Assist faculty with data analysis
8. Interfaces with UIW Institutional Research, UIW Assessment Committee and the Associate Provost for Assessment along with any other deemed appropriate for the articulation of campus-wide reporting on assessment
9. Pursue professional development in academic assessment and institutional research
10. Facilitate LEAD Teams
11. Other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
Required Education:
1. Bachelor's degree or five (5) or more years of experience in higher education assessment.
2. Must hold a valid drivers license and have a driving history acceptable to the University insurance carrier.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Must be organized and have an attention for detail
2. Must have the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize responsibilities, and coordinate numerous projects simultaneously
3. Must maintain quality customer service skills
4. Must have a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
5. Must have strong oral and written communication skills , as well as sound interpersonal skills
6. Must have the ability to work collaboratively and to share skills with team members
7. Strong background in data preparation and statistical analysis
8. Advanced skills in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
9. Intermediate skills in Access, SPSS or another statistical program and a graphing program
10. Intermediate skills in online survey tools like SurveyMonkey
11. Basic skills in SQL programing and data warehousing and mining tools
12. Willingness to learn faculty evaluation online system, online student testing system and AAMS system
13. Ability to travel to conferences for additional training in assessment
