CLIN AST/ASO/FULL PROF
The University of Florida, College of Medicine – Jacksonville, Department of Surgery, Division of Acute Care Surgery, seeks a full-time faculty position for an Acute Care Surgeon at the non-tenure accruing level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor for our Level I Trauma Center.
This position will report to the Chief of Acute Care Surgery and Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville.
Following is a general description of duties and responsibilities:
Provide clinical and surgical critical care of trauma, elective, and emergency general surgery patients.
Provide and maintain a high level of quality in-patient intermediate care services in all aspects of Acute Care Surgery.
Provide clinical teaching of trainees in Acute Care Surgery, participate in the educational program, and conduct research.
Be responsible for excellent communication with primary care physicians.
Assist in marketing the Acute Care Surgery Program to community physicians and managed care organizations.
Participate in monthly division meetings, administrative functions and institutional committees as requested.
Minimum Requirements:
MD/DO; Must be Board-Certified in General Surgery with a completed fellowship in Critical Care.
