Job Description: The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida seeks candidates at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank for the position of Division Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology/Allergy. The successful candidate may be appointed on the non-tenure OR tenure-accruing track. Rank will be commensurate with experience and rank. The division has an ACGME accredited Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship Program, an accredited Sleep Medicine Fellowship and the only Pediatric Lung Transplant program in the region. The division has a federal multidisciplinary training grant from MCH, CF Center grant, CF TDN grant and strong adult CF Center. In addition, the division is the Florida state-wide consultant for Children's Medical Services with a significant educational contract to help support a highly skilled multidisciplinary faculty. Responsibilities include clinical Pediatric Pulmonary medicine with an active fiber optic bronchoscopy service, teaching and extramural funding for clinical or bench research. A strong background in research and mentoring skills are desired. Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills are essential. The University of Florida is the tertiary referral center for North Central Florida, providing a broad patient base for clinical research and teaching. Excellent research opportunities exist.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. degree and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida and be board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonology.
