Job Description: The University of Florida College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy, seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in one of two of its specialty areas, pharmacoepidemiology or patient/medication safety and program evaluation. Candidates with expertise in pharmacoepidemiology will have PhD level training in Pharmacoepidemiology or Epidemiology with an understanding of drug action. Candidates for a faculty position in patient/medication safety and program evaluation will have a PhD in a field that focused on the evaluation of quality and/or programs aimed at improving quality as it relates to medication use. A PharmD or MD degree is desired but not required. The successful candidate is expected to develop a research program in an area of his or her choice in either of these specialty areas. Teaching responsibilities will include didactic classroom instruction in the PharmD program and the department's graduate program. Service responsibilities will include committee memberships and departmental organization. The position is available beginning immediately. Minimum Requirements: The successful candidate will possess an outstanding research record or potential for developing a competitively-funded research program, as well as a strong interest, competence, and commitment to excellence in teaching in the professional and graduate programs.
