The Office of Economic Innovation & Partnerships (OEIP) was established in July of 2008 with the mission to develop and deploy the University’s knowledge-based assets for the benefit of the University, the community, the State and the region. Today, OEIP has broadened its mission to include small business-based economic development.
Under the limited direction of the Business Administrator II, the Administrative Assistant I assists in the management of administrative operations of OEIP. These include a full range of administrative and human resource duties. For example: provides administrative support to the Director, Business Administrator, and Financial Analyst, acts as HR Liaison for the OEIP units, maintains and manages hiring processes, records, forms, etc.
• Support daily administrative operations of OEIP including administrative support to Director, Business Administrator, and Financial Analyst
• Schedule, coordinate, and prioritize Director’s meetings with leaders in the academic, public and private sectors. Prepare presentations and meeting information. Handle highly sensitive and confidential information
• Participate in the coordination of all OEIP events and meetings
• Serve as Human Resources Liaison for the OEIP units i.e. Director’s Office, Tech Transfer Office, SBTDC, and PTAC; support hiring processes, maintain records, forms, etc.
• Maintain and manage UD Time and payroll processes, resolve problems, anticipate and offer resolutions for other issues
• Participate in the implementation of goals and objectives
• Manage office supplies and ordering supplies as needed
High school diploma or GED and one to two years of experience in an administrative support position. Experience in the University environment is preferred. Requires thorough knowledge and understanding of office practices and procedures, business English and proofreading and editing skills; intermediate experience and working knowledge of standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and Web-based applications; ability to follow complex instructions, to work independently and to devise solutions to problems; ability to perform detailed and accurate work; effective organizational skills, the ability to evaluate and prioritize assignments and the ability to analyze and solve problems; ability to work effectively in a team environment; ability to communicate effectively and interact well with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
