The School of Nursing seeks qualified candidates for a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Nursing Professor at the School of Nursing and at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center. The successful candidate will conduct neonatal and/or pediatric research in a highly interdisciplinary arena. During the Post Doctoral Fellowship, the candidate will gain experience in grant development, project management, and manuscript preparation through collaborative work on cutting-edge research projects. The Fellow will have access to a broad range of coursework in advanced methodology and statistics, mentoring to develop lines of independent scholarship and to plan a career trajectory in research, links to interdisciplinary researchers and research centers across the School of Nursing and the University, and funded travel opportunities to scientific conferences.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must possess a PhD in Nursing; must have background in maternal child health; must have record of scholarly activity.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidate must have excellent communication skills; show evidence of being able to complete systematic reviews; have experience managing large research projects; should have experience as a research assistant within a large research study; should have experience mentoring undergraduate research.

This is an 11-month, end date position, renewable for a second year pending satisfactory performance. The anticipated start date is August 23, 2013.
