Posting Description: As part of the Child Welfare Training Academy, this position is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of all training related activities related to building Child Welfare supervisors and coaches capacity in the 4 regions. * Designing and conducting a variety of training sessions. * Providing training related support and services to regional centers around the unique needs of supervisors. * Transfer of learning from the classroom to real life practice as well as provide practice coaching to fully maximize skill acquisition. * Assist with the coordination of the coaching pilot, ensuring distinctions between coaching and supervision are universally understood and implemented across the regions. * Develop curricula. * Work collaboratively with the Regional Training Center (RTC) Manager and Coordinators, and other members of the CWTA team to complete these functions.
Minimum Qualifications: * Master's Degree in Social Work, Education, Behavioral or Social Science, or other related field required. * 3 years of experience in direct child welfare practice. * 3-5 years of experience as a trainer, coach or supervisor.
Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Demonstrated ability to model effective interactions and communication skills in cross-cultural situations required. * Skilled in working effectively with co-workers, customers, and others, in a team or individual setting. * Ability to be strength-based and solution focused.
Desired Qualifications: * Experience with creating and arranging training manuals and visual aids for workshops and seminars. * Experience evaluating training sessions to determine whether they have been helpful to participants. * Experience developing a needs assessment process to determine an instructional design. * Experience designing and developing training deliveries based on both the organization's and the individual's needs. * Experience with demonstrating and distinguishing the similarities and differences between coaching and supervision.
