Posting Description: The position will be experienced in the discipline of planning, organization, motivating and controlling resources to achieve specific goals. The position will achieve defined expectations within the constraints of scope, time, quality, and budget. The position will develop, prepare, review, condense, and correct or arrange written material with the objective of producing the final presentation. The position will assist senior team members with project management duties that may include project schedule maintenance, issue management, resource acquisition, etc. The position will assist with identification of project stakeholders; help define and clarify project roles and responsibilities; and work with all stakeholders to define and acquire all necessary resources. The position will oversee the development of operational timelines and milestone estimates from team/committee members and effectively manage the tasks. During a project process, the position will communicate and resolve and/or escalate project issues in a timely manner. Communication will occur through regular project reviews, meetings, informal and formal settings, and using clear, understandable language and candid, open communications. The position will create, execute, and monitor ongoing Continuous Quality Improvement efforts and the LCME project plan, dashboard, and timeline for all accreditation areas and activities. All plans and efforts may be revised to meet changing needs and requirements. Quality assurance work will include analysis of all information prepared for the LCME during the self-study, and will include ensuring the quality, validity, and consistency of the information by cross-referencing information in the School's LCME database, prior re-accreditation reviews and updates, new LCME policies and guidelines, and internal policies and procedures; reviewing and evaluating all content to identify gaps; and recommending improvements as appropriate. During the LCME self-study process, the position will serve as the primary staff resource to the LCME Executive Committee/LCME Executive Project Lead, LCME faculty leaders, and self-study committees and subcommittees, including senior-level faculty and staff. This will include collection and analysis of accreditation material, quality assurance and editing of final reports, researching information needs, attendance and staffing at self-study committee and subcommittee meetings, and meeting scheduling and management. The individual will coordinate preparations for the LCME site visit and mock site visit, including serving as a liaison on behalf of the School of Medicine to the LCME survey team for site visit logistics, scheduling, travel and meeting arrangements, document generation and storage, and communication.
Minimum Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, accounting, communications or a related field - plus five years of directly related work experience in a similar field OR eight years of work experience in a directly related field. *5-8 years experience managing projects in a fast paced, professional environment. *Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Visio.

Ability to interact effectively with senior level faculty, deans, staff, students and others internal and external to the School of Medicine and the University. *Strong proof-reading, writing and editing skills *Demonstrated strength in oral and written communication *Knowledge and experience in project management design and implementation. *Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports with strict accuracy and format requirements *Strong analytical skills to interpret the relationships between terminology, departments and initiatives in multiple documents to identify areas of overlap, redundancy or inconsistent information *Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures *Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities *Ability to design and implement systems necessary to collect, to maintain, and analyze data *Ability to respond to changing priorities *Skill in time management *Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment *Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
Desired Qualifications: *Experience updating website content using SharePoint or the ability to quickly master web-related software. *Able to travel as needed to support project needs. *Certification in project management and/or quality management. *Familiarity with medical school policies and procedures as well as familiarity with LCME standards and accreditation processes.
