Posting Description: Candidates must be board certified in internal medicine and board certified or board-eligible in hospice and palliative medicine. It is expected that the successful candidate will become board certified in hospice and palliative medicine by 2014. Clinical duties include attending on the Palliative Care service at the University of Colorado Hospital. Teaching activities include leading formal/informal teaching sessions and working closely with students, residents, fellows and other trainees that rotate through the palliative care service at University of Colorado Hospital. Administrative responsibilities include active participation in palliative care quality improvement initiatives. Scholarly activities are encouraged. Faculty will participate in decisions regarding the practice operation of the University of Colorado Hospital Palliative Care service. The clinician-educator will have opportunity for academic promotion judged on criteria of demonstrated excellence as a clinician, educator and scholar.
Minimum Qualifications: -Must be an MD -State of Colorado License -DEA -Board certified in Internal Medicine -Board eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
