Posting Description: *Position Responsibilities and Corresponding Percentage Weights:* Work with Faculty and Associate Deans, as well as University-wide faculty and registrars, to review existing policies and develop new policies related to the registration/grading/record keeping/degree audits of students as well as course and classroom policies. Review and comment on proposed legislation and fiscal notes each legislative session. Work with other campus offices to implement new legislation by required deadlines. Respond to inquiries, protocol/policy changes and develop reports related to all areas of the office, including residency changes, enrollment of currently enrolled students, curricular impacts, etc. in order to create policy and facilitate and improve services to students, parents, faculty and staff. 25% Oversight of student registration; Withdrawal and Time Off/Stay Connected Programs; Course Reservation; data integrations and warehouse query use; degree audit; graduation and diploma processing; residency classification; classroom scheduling and course inventory processing; tracking of instruction; document management; requests for ISIS development; final grade processing; transcripts; NCAA eligibility certification. 20% Provide leadership and develop appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technology application in support of enhanced services offered through Registration and Records. Serve on system-wide committees representing Boulder Campus student records including the ISIS Advisory Committee; the Student Records Work Team meeting; residency appeals committee; and the Data Access Group. Serve on Boulder Campus committees including the Council of Associate Deans (CADs); Enrollment Predictions Team; Enrollment Services Team; and Grapple PLUS. Provide leadership and develop appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technology in support of innovative and enhanced registrar services, and work with campus and University teams to resolve ISIS issues that lead to inefficient operation of the system in the areas of campus community, student records and registration. 20% Serve as the appointing authority and oversee all personnel actions for the department. This includes providing leadership and managing the work product of a staff of 35 employees, in addition to temporary staff and approximately 75 student employees to ensure quality service to the University community. Manage an operational budget of over $2.0 million dollars. 15% Strategic Planning for University Enrollment Goals: Collaborates with the Enrollment Management Team (i.e. Office of Institutional Planning, Budget, and Analysis, Office of Financial Aid, Registrar's, Admissions, campus administration) to develop benchmarks for gauging the effectiveness of recruitment and retention policies for the campus. Uses research and data to analyze and effectively evaluate programs and strategies. 5% Problem solve the research, analysis and resolution of student disputes as they relate to records and registration. 5% Ensure that the Registrar's Athletic certification staff are adequately trained and are in full compliance with all NCAA and Pac 12 rules and regulations that pertain to the certification of eligibility of our student-athletes. 5% Responsible for collecting, recording, maintaining and reporting of student records within FERPA guidelines, e.g., grades, registration data, transcripts, athletic eligibility. Responsible for updating and sending of FERPA information in regards to "Right to Know" legislation. Serves as the campus "FERPA" knowledge source which includes the updating of FERPA information on the Office of the Registrar website, as well as notifying the campus of significant updates. 5% *Salary and Benefits:* Salary commensurate with experience. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate degree in student services, educational administration or a related area. 6 years experience in a Registrar's Office at a large university with 3 years at the associate director or higher level. 5 years of successful supervisory experience in a people-oriented environment and a demonstrated ability to build consensus among diverse constituencies. 3 years experience in the use of technology to deliver Records and Registration services including the use of a student information system. Working knowledge of Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Candidate must successfully pass a criminal background check and financial/credit check.

Working professional experience with Oracle Campus Solutions and CRM systems as well as the DARs system. Commitment to professional growth and development through active involvement in relevant professional organizations. Working knowledge of Pac 12 or Division 1 athletic certification requirements. Familiarity with data warehousing and document imaging system technologies.
