Posting Description: *Department Information:* CIPS (Center for Integrated Plasma Studies) is a research center physically located in the Duane physics building on main campus. CIPS is made up of six physics faculty members as well as a number of research fellows, research associates, graduate and undergraduate students. The members of CIPS are engaged in both theoretical and experimental plasma physics research, primarily through research grants from the Department of Energy, NASA, the National Science Foundation, and others. *Job Responsibilities:* This position will perform the following job duties: * Budgetary oversight and financial compliance o This position, under the supervision of the CIPS Fellows, has full responsibility for preparing the detailed budget for all CIPS research projects, and for monitoring and ensuring financial compliance with all funding agencies and university policies and procedures. * Payroll oversight and compliance o This position has full independent authority and discretion for ensuring all payroll expenditures are appropriated budgeted and charged, and for monitoring and ensuring compliance with funding agencies' and university policies and procedures. * Administrative management and planning o This positions is the primary resource for the center for supervision of undergraduate student assistants, center management, and professional level support for research proposal creation and submission. *Salary and Benefits:* Annual Salary: $47,000-$55,000 and will be commensurate with skills and experience. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, accounting, engineering, physics, or a related field. * At least three years of experience providing professional-level financial management and administrative support. * General knowledge of proposal submission vehicles such as Grants.gov and Fastlane. * Advanced skills in spreadsheet, PeopleSoft and word-processing software. * Familiarity with, and ability to apply, concepts presented in OMB Circulars A-21 and A-110.
