Posting Description: Clinical Administrative Responsibilities - Responsible for overall clinical administrative oversight of the medical staff (psychiatrists, psychologists, and mid-level providers) of the Children's Hospital Colorado's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences ("Department"), including direct support to the medical and clinical directors for a variety of programs. - Works with the Department leadership to design and administer clinical programs in a psychiatric setting. - Works with the Department leadership to assure that patients receive quality care, that services are provided in a cost-effective manner, and that these services are in compliance with Federal, State and Institution requirements. - Coordinates clinical services with the leadership of our training and research programs to assure our clinical services are designed and operated in ways that support these key aspects of the Department mission. - Represents the Department on Hospital committees. - Works with the Department leadership in the recruitment and ongoing evaluation of medical staff, including addressing all Medical Staff Office requirements for credentialing and peer review Clinical Responsibilities - Provides direct clinical services in Department programs as determined through consultation with the Department Chair and Department Leadership more broadly. Other Responsibilities - Contributes the Department's teaching and scholarship in ways consistent with the expectations of senior University faculty, advancing the standing of the Department. - Maintains eligibility for SOM faculty appointment. - Provides career development mentorship to junior and senior faculty. - Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: Colorado Medical License, DEA Certificate, Board Certified in Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry Must obtain Medical Staff privileges within the University Hospital and The Children's Hospital.
Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Desired Qualifications: Experience in clinical administration in a child and adolescent psychiatric setting. Eligible for appointment at the Assistant Professor level (eligibility for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level preferred).
