Minimum Qualifications: Minimum required qualifications are 1) A Ph.D. degree in computer engineering or a closely related field; 2) Specific expertise in embedded systems, digital design, and/or VLSI design 3) The ability to teach students from the freshman through senior/graduate technical elective levels in digital-circuit design, embedded-systems, and VLSI-design course work.
Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Candidates are being sought with a strong background in a fundamental electrical and computer engineering discipline, with a research focus related to computer engineering. In addition, the candidate should be able to perform research in interdisciplinary areas with faculty in the department, EAS college, and the campus. The department is interested in candidates with a strong commitment to pursuing externally funded research and teaching at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
Desired Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include postdoctoral and/or industrial experience with a strong publication/funding record.
