Posting Description: This physician will perform diagnostic and therapeutic Interventional procedures on a daily basis. Competency is required in the performance of diagnostic arteriography, vascular intervention, oncologic intervention including intra-arterial and percutaneous therapies, biliary, genitourinary, and GI intervention. Call responsibilities are typically every sixth night and weekends. Fellow, resident, and medical student education in both an outpatient and inpatient setting are critical components of the position. The division is also active in clinical research, and bench research is a strong possibility with the soon to be built Colorado Translational Research Imaging Center. Join us at our new 227-acre medical campus with views of the beautiful Rocky Mountains. There are 5 dedicated IR rooms, with two new rooms being built to open in 2013. IR is one of the divisions in the Cardiovascular Center; this unique environment has a combined IR, NIR, Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology procedural area, with its own recovery area and clinic space. Cutting edge technology and a diverse clinical setting will allow those with interest to effectively and efficiently pursue areas of research. Academic Rank for this position ranges from Assistant Professor to Professor, depending upon experience and background. Minimum Qualifications: Medical Degree or equivalent, Colorado Medical License, ABR Certification, Interventional Radiology Fellowship Training, CAQ eligible
