This job expired 3 weeks ago.Posting Description: Grant Manager for the departments growing research program and is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and processing grants, overseeing expenditures and providing administrative support to the Executive Research Committee of the Department of Anesthesiology, Vice Chair of Research, Principle Investigators (Pi's) and other researchers within the Department of Anesthesiology.
Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications): This position needs a candidate with as least a bachelor's degree, preferably in a business-related field. Two years of experience managing and processing NIH grants and SF424 applications. Two years of experience developing and maintaining spreadsheets, reports and databases using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access

- Demonstrated working knowledge of accounting and business practices and procedures
- Strong analytical skills
- Prefer experience with PeopleSoft Financial system

- Ability to work independently, as well as successfully interact with clinical professionals and research staff
- Competency managing multiple assignments under tight deadlines, managing timelines and reaching milestones
- Prioritize different projects
- Knowledge of appropriate policies and procedures of UCH and UCD, as they relate to grants and contract management and effective job performance
