Posting Description: The University of Colorado Denver is seeking nominations and applications for the position of Director of International Operations. The Director of International Operations is responsible for providing administrative and management leadership, coordination and services that support the core functions and strategic initiatives of the Office of International Affairs (OIA) and its key stakeholders. The position will be responsible for OIA reports and data management for OIA reporting, for core support and functions pertaining to strategic international initiatives and partnerships, and for assisting with the creation and coordination of a leadership team in the Office of International Affairs. The Director of International Operations will participate in the ongoing policy development pertaining to International business risk management through service on the International Risk Management Committee, will be responsible for grant proposals pertaining to key international initiatives, and will take the lead role in development of a portfolio of initiatives and projects. The Director of International Operations will work closely with the Assistant Vice Chancellor of International Affairs on all internal administrative matters and select priority projects and will be a member of the Office of International Affairs Leadership Team.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications): -Masters Degree or Substitution: A combination of work experience in the occupational field which provided the same kind, amount and level of knowledge acquired in the required education, may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the Master's degree.

-Experience working in an office of international education, international affairs, in a higher education setting with increasing levels of responsibility.

-At least four years of experience implementing core international affairs and global education administrative infrastructure and functions.

-Demonstrated ability to lead and manage and develop strong working teams.

-A proven track record in successful implementation of new international program development and administrative infrastructures in higher education.

-Demonstrated experience with university international strategic planning.

-Demonstrated proficiency with professionally written annual reports and proposals.

-Successful grant writing experience.

-Demonstrated experience creating international risk management policy and procedures.

-Demonstrated experience developing Memoranda of Understanding, International Student Exchange and other similar international agreements.

Desired Qualifications: -A Ph.D. is preferred

-Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
