Program Director

Posting Description: The College of Engineering and Applied Science aspires to improve health, welfare, and prosperity through technical learning, research, professional practice, and invention. The Program Director will be responsible for teaching, overseeing and administering existing college distance learning programs, and for directing the growth of future college distance learning initiatives in engineering curriculum, specifically graduate level systems engineering, engineering management, and space operations. The Program Director will report directly to the Dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Science.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications): Minimum qualifications:
* PhD in engineering or related science discipline from an accredited institution.
*10 years experience in an academic setting within an educational institution.
*Distance learning program and course administration and development experience.
*Established ability to teach
*Administrative experience with demonstrated leadership ability
*Experience working with diverse populations in a multi-cultural environment that is committed to diversity and equality in education
*Demonstrated experience in analyzing and utilizing quantitative and qualitative data
*Excellent interpersonal skills
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to interface creatively with individuals across a broad spectrum of backgrounds and expertise

Desired Qualifications: Professional knowledge of systems engineering, engineering management, and space operations with respect to designing and maintaining graduate-level curricula.
10 years experience in a supervisory capacity.
