Unit Job Summary: Senior Associate Director, Executive Education: Manage portfolio of public open-enrollment and custom executive education programs including: relationship management with corporate customers; manage annual budget with profit and loss responsibility; portfolio strategy including new program development; faculty sourcing and relationship management. Reports into the Director of Executive Education.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-With other senior leaders, establish program strategies, objectives, long-term goals, division policies, and procedures.
-Initiate and maintain contact with client organizations.
-Evaluate effectiveness of programs and revise curriculum as required.
-Analyze financial performance and implement corrective administrative action when appropriate.
-Prepare budgets; authorize payment for materials, facilities, staff, and instructional faculty.
-Plan, schedule and manage an assigned portion of the division's program portfolio.
-Conduct on-going analysis of the state of the art business practices and integrate faculty groups in the development of new products.
-Engage in activities that promote the GSB: speaking at professional and alumni gatherings, writing articles, present papers.
-Interview, hire, train, and evaluate professional staff and instructional faculty.
-Plan and evaluate program marketing and communications.
Unit Education: Bachelor's degree required.
MBA strongly preferred.
Unit Experience: At least five years of management experience in an organization with similar scope and objectives and professional employee supervisory responsibility required.
At least three years of experience in executive and management development or related field required.
Unit Job Function Competencies: Proven ability to achieve objectives with minimal direction required
Proven ability to effectively lead a large diverse group of people required.
Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) required.
