The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Irvine invites applications to fill an endowed chair position—the UCI Excellence in Teaching Endowed Chair in Mathematics. This chair position is made possible through a gift from the California Community Foundation and provides an annual discretionary research fund to the successful candidate.

UCI Excellence in Teaching Endowed Chair in Mathematic

Position: Professor, Tenured

The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Irvine invites applications to fill an endowed chair position—the UCI Excellence in Teaching Endowed Chair in Mathematics. This chair position is made possible through a gift from the California Community Foundation and provides an annual discretionary research fund to the successful candidate.

The successful candidate, who is expected to be at the full-professor level, will be an excellent research mathematician, with national and international recognition for scholarship, demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and strong commitment to service. Applicants in all areas of mathematics will be considered.

(2) Curriculum vitae
(3) Cover letter
(4) Research statement
(5) Teaching statement
(6) Selected reprints and/or preprints
