Position Summary: Day-to-day management of ongoing cognitive-behavioral research program for management of chronic pain in rural, low SES minorities and non-minorities. Postdoc will provide assistance with supervision of clinical research duties of graduate trainees, co-interventionist with a graduate student leading CBT and education group, database management, public relations and site development, assistance with preparation of future grant proposals.
Minimum Preferred Qualifications: The Department of Psychology at The University of Alabama has an opening for a post-doctoral fellow position, non-tenure track and non-renewable to be filled between June 1 and August 16, 2013. Candidates should have completed their Ph.D. or have it completed by the start of work. The Ph.D. should be from an APA-accredited program in clinical or counseling psychology, including the completion of an APA-accredited predoctoral internship. Clinical research experience in biopsychosocial interventions for health problems (broadly defined); data management and analysis experience; publication(s) in refereed journal(s).
