Position Title: Instructor
Position Summary:
Teaching undergraduate language courses in Italian, and participating in the activities of the Italian program. The position may also include the opportunity to direct the Alabama-In-Italy summer program in Florence, Italy.

The Department of Modern Languages and Classics at The University of Alabama invites applications for a full-time position in Italian, beginning August 2013. The Instructorship is a two-year renewable position. Applicants must have at least a Master’s degree or equivalent in Italian or Comparative Literature, and must demonstrate native-like fluency in Italian as well as an excellent functional command of English. In addition to teaching undergraduate language courses and participating in the activities of the Italian Program, the position may also include the opportunity to direct the Alabama-in-Italy summer program in Florence, Italy.
Full-Time Temporary Instructorships are non-tenured teaching positions with medical and retirement benefits.
