Position Title: Instructor
Position Summary:
This instructor must teach Introduction to Women’s Studies and other courses in Women’s Studies, including in their research area. Instructors will be responsible for creating and implementing syllabi for their courses, teaching students, and assigning and grading course work, and performing other duties as requested by the department chair. This position is non-tenure earning and renewable for three years.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:
Instructor, Gender and Race Studies
The Gender and Race Studies department at the University of Alabama seeks to hire a full-time Instructor in Women’s Studies to begin August, 16 2012. Teaching load is 4/4. This instructor must teach Introduction to Women’s Studies and other courses in Women’s Studies, including in their research area. Preferred applicants will have teaching experience in Women’s and/or Gender Studies. This position is non-tenure earning and renewable for three years based on availability, funding, and performance.
Masters degree required. Ph.D. preferred. Qualified candidates must meet the minimum 18 hour SACs requirement to teach in Women’s Studies.
