Position Summary: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in American and Public Policy. Pursue an active research agenda leading to publication of peer-reviewed articles and books in appropriate venues. Provide service to the University community and professional organization.
Minimum Preferred Qualifications: The Department of Political Science at The University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in American Politics/Public Policy and Administration beginning August 16, 2014. The successful candidate should have a strong research agenda and the potential to excel as an instructor. Candidates will be expected to regularly teach coursework in program evaluation, in addition to a combination of courses in at least two of the following areas: minority politics, urban politics and policy, intergovernmental relations, political psychology, administrative ethics, survey research, and experimental methods. The University of Alabama is the flagship campus of the University of Alabama system, and offers the B.A., M.A., M.P.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Political Science.
