Minimum Preferred Qualifications: The Department of Anthropology of The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, invites applications for a full-time, non tenure-track Clinical/Lecture Track Faculty (CLTF) position in anthropology beginning Fall 2014. This is a multi-year Assistant Professor level appointment with possibility of promotions, but is not tenure track. Ph.D. in Anthropology is expected to be in hand at the time of the appointment. We seek a scholar who has broad training in general anthropology. The proposed CLTF faculty member will have research skills and interests that contribute directly to our undergraduate program. He/she will have a 4/4 teaching load and is expected to teach ANT 100 (Introduction to Anthropology) and ANT102 (Introduction to Cultural Anthropology), both live (MA) and online (OL). He/she will also teach live versions of ANT 103 (Great Discoveries in Archaeology) and ANT 107 (Introduction to Archaeology) and will manage our other online courses. In addition, this person will be a member of the departmental Undergraduate Committee and the departmental Instructional Technology Committee and will assist with the department's Assessment duties.
