Electronic Research Specialist - Office of Associate VP for Research

Job Description: Assist the Director of eRA in developing highly complex information management system and business management system software to support critical operations of Associate Vice President for Research (AVPR) and researchers on campus, maintaing currect code, modify existing functionally based on user requirements. Designs software. Writes computer programs to implement the systems designed. Report to the Director of eRA throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) for all software projects.
Required Qualifications: Experience in developing large scale web applications using front end languages such as C#, Java and PHP. Experience of using database and stored procedures. Extensive working experience with web servers (Apache Server, SSH and IIS). Knowledge and experience of object oriented programming. Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Master degree in computer science or related field.
Experience in using Java 2EE and Oracle PL/SQL.
At least 2 years experience in developing large scale web applications using front end languages such as C#, Java and PHP.
