Marketing Associate -Alumni & Development Communications

This job expired 2 months ago.Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Alumni & Development Communications, the Marketing Associate will support all aspects of alumni relations and fundraising communications in the department. Responsibilities include internal communications for Institutional Advancement, management of the departmental print and electronic archives, proofreading, and writing support for fundraising and alumni relations pieces of all types. The Marketing Associate will also perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree with two years of experience in a related field such as journalism, communications or marketing. An equivalent of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Proficiency in AP or other editorial styles.
*Produce internal newsletter in print and online.
*Manage division-wide information portal including user training and content management.
*Manage print and electronic Alumni & Development Communications assets, including photos and publications.
*Experience with departmental project management software .
*Manage projects, including vendor relations, writing, design and editing of various invitations, brochures and other print and electronic communications.
*Self-motivated, independent worker who thrives working as part of a highly functioning team.
*Manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously, accurately and on time.
Preferred:
*Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint.
.*Proficiency using design software (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Dreamweaver /HTML).
*Ability to design simple publications, presentations and web pages.
*Video production/editing experience a plus.
*Experience with Basecamp.
