The Clinical Assistant is responsible to assist in the potential set up and use of any equipment required in the Physical Therapy Lab. The incumbent must be able to properly perform any physical therapy examination and intervention skills required of the particular course in question including the psychomotor assessment of DPT students within the context of a laboratory practical examination and support other instructors. Other responsibilities include: maintaining accurate and timely performance of procedures and tasks on a daily basis; assisting in keeping inventory of supplies, and providing a list of routine items needed to order; maintaining established professional ethics of confidentiality as outlined in policies; and working with fellow employees to constructively and expeditiously resolve problems. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
At least six months' directly related experience in a Physical Therapy practice. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Excellent communication skills, including listening and verbal skills.
*Ability to prioritize well and focus on completion of tasks and objectives.
*Must be able to operate laboratory equipment.
*Must be able to properly perform all required examination, assessment, and intervention tasks.
*Successful completion of a CAPTE entry-level Physical Therapy degree and current state licensure.
This is a Part-Time, On-Call Position.
