Strayer University seeks a full-time faculty member able to start for the Spring Quarter – April for its Fairborn (Dayton), OH campus in the area of MATHEMATICS. Candidates will have an earned doctorate in doctorate in any discipline with at least 18 post-graduate semester hours in statistics, mathematics or operations management
.

Minimum qualifications:
To teach Mathematics courses:
• An earned doctorate in doctorate in any discipline with at least 18 post-graduate semester hours in statistics, mathematics or operations management
Preferred candidates have at least three years teaching at the university level to include instruction, curriculum development, writing across the curriculum experience, leadership roles, and a strong interest and an ability to contribute to department initiatives.
Only applicants with a completed doctorate degree will be considered.
Preference for internal candidates will be given to faculty who meet the following criteria.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills a must
• A history of “Outstanding” audits
• SOP scores above the accepted average
• Three years of teaching in their subject area, and at least five years of related work experience
• Experience advising and tutoring students
• Service to the university
• No corrective action history for at least five years
External candidates should provide comparable experience in their background.

Full-time faculty are required to teach four classes per quarter, participate in tutoring, advising, faculty mentoring, serve as subject matter experts for course and curriculum development, and participate on department committees. Faculty are required to respond to students within 24 hours resulting in flexible office hours.
