Job Description:

SUNY Delhi is seeking an energetic and innovative librarian to join the Resnick Library team. This is a full-time, tenure-track appointment.

Primary responsibilities: providing reference service and instruction in a variety of environments (in person, online and in the classroom), managing assigned subject areas of the library collection, and participating in the development and marketing of the library’s online resources. In addition, the successful candidate will collaborate with faculty to integrate library information resources into student learning, and perform assessment of instruction, collections and services. All library staff participate in professional scholarly and service activities, serve on campus committees, and contribute to library and staff planning. Limited evening and weekend hours required during the academic year.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications: Master's degree from ALA-accredited graduate program; excellent communication, problem-solving and time-management skills; proven commitment to customer service; ability to work independently and collaboratively; willingness to relate constructively to colleagues, faculty and students; working knowledge of educational information technologies (wikis, blogs, web pages, databases, digital imaging, standard office applications).

Preferred Qualifications: Teaching at the college level, experience with student assessment and collection development; instructional technology and presentation skills.

Candidates invited to interview on campus will be expected to make a teaching presentation on a specific topic to the search committee and library staff .

Additional Information:

Position is full time, 10 month contract. Minimum salary $36,000 depending upon experience. Excellent fringe benefits package.
