Job Description:

Position Summary
This position provides leadership and management expertise to ensure the entire admissions operations process functions effectively and works in support of and successfully meets the goals and needs of the admissions office. The Assistant Director of Admissions: Operations and IT will deliver the vision, planning, program development and the implementation and evaluation of business processes to increase efficiencies and maximize resources. The operations area is responsible for managing the prospect database and processing all undergraduate applications for admission to Delhi’s fall, spring, and summer sessions.

Essential Functions
• Act as expert in admissions operations with particular emphasis on Banner and technological implementations, maintenance, and enhancements including the implementation of paperless processing.
• Responsible for coordinating the office’s technology needs related to Banner and all other data management systems, therefore close contact must be maintained with the IT department.
• Responsible for evaluating and recommending new enrollment management technologies to improve the functions and efficiencies of the operations area.
• Manage workflow and ongoing SUNY Delhi web site content revisions
• Provide web support services for SUNY Delhi to include troubleshooting CMS issues, providing CMS training, photo uploads, and work with web master on prioritization.
• Develop and implement strategies that leverage office resources to meet admissions goals.
• Establish banner procedural standards for the Admissions staff to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Supervise the maintenance and enhancement of the prospect database.
• Coordinate communications with prospective and admitted students through the setup, maintenance, and evaluation of a tactical communication plan.
• Manage e-mail marketing campaigns from concept to delivery; schedules and transmits e-mails; tracks and reports results; utilize web based application to create, monitor and track e-mail marketing campaigns
• Coordinate all intra-office data retrieval, collection, modification and output including all reports, mailings and statistical analyses.
• Fulfill reporting needs for all admissions data for internal and external constituents.
• Provides strategic guidance to the work of the admissions office by analyzing data and creating informational reports.
• Supervise all operational staff members and assigned student workers; provide appropriate training and evaluate work output.
• Assist office with all on-campus programs and interviews.

Bachelor's degree is required. Also required are:
•Minimum of four years' professional experience in higher education
•Excellent strengths in interpersonal relations, organization, and oral/written communication
•Proficient in Information Technology
•Technical expertise, such as knowledge of Banner, Omni Update
•Experience in student admissions documentation and processing
•Experience in student recruitment, including live and web outreach

Preferred qualifications include:
•Master's degree
•Supervisory experience

Additional Information:

Salary: $41,319.00 annually with an excellent benefits program. SL-4

This is an 11-month annual obligation position.
