Today, The College at Brockport is a dynamic campus that plays a vital role in the Western New York economy; with approximately 1,300 employees and about 8,500 students, most of whom remain in the region following graduation.
Our 464-acre campus is a blend of open spaces, wooded areas and modern office, classroom, residence and recreational facilities. The Drake Memorial Library is recognized as one of SUNY’s finest with its extensive collection and global access. The Tuttle North Athletic Complex houses gymnasiums, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a fitness center recently outfitted with top-of-the-line Cybex equipment. Two theaters and two exhibition galleries also provide venues for the arts.
From Hartwell Hall, the College’s oldest and most traditional building (completed in 1941) on the eastern end of the campus, to the recently completed student townhome residences and visitor’s center on the western end, the College offers a modern and comfortable place to work, live and learn only a short walk from the Village’s Main Street.
The College at Brockport's outstanding faculty engages in teaching, research and service within the College's mission, which focuses on student success as its highest priority. Ninety-three percent of full-time faculty hold the highest degree in their field. Ninety-six faculty are recipients of the prestigious Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
An equally excellent and committed support staff enhances the learning community environment; providing a range of programs and activities ranging from computer-skills seminars, to arts and athletic programs, to health workshops and a variety of residence hall programs.
