The videographer provides his/her own camera, camera gear, and image storage. A high-definition video camcorder is required, and a minimum of 2TB storage is recommended. A G5 Mac desktop with Final Cut Pro is provided. The videographer reports to the Communications Coordinator and is a member of the Support Services team. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of five years of professional film-making experience, and proficiency with MAC operating systems required. Prior supervisory experience and international experience preferred. Must be creative and pragmatic, remaining focused on creating deliverables that relate to our core audiences and reflect SAS/ISE's mission and brand story. Experience with travel documentary, promotional videos, and working with college-age students. Can create detailed media plans and execute according to tight deadlines. Analytical creative problem solver who can exercise sound judgment and make quick decisions. Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to media and community requests. Ability to maximize the use of limited resources and communication with SAS/ISE home office. Proficiency in digital film-making, including pre-production planning, lighting, audio and editing, and journalism and storytelling capability. Demonstrated experience with editing software such as Final Cut Pro; familiarity with Garage Band recording software. Commitment to the role of higher education in society, sensitivity to the mission of higher education and understanding of the culture of a shipboard nonprofit institution. In cover letter, please describe how you would approach this assignment, which camera(s) you are prepared to bring, list specific experience you have shooting in the field, and if you have any experience creating video-based marketing materials. Examples of your work are preferred to be viewed online with a website address provided in the cover letter, or digital files mailed to our office (labeled "attention: human resources") via DVD after submitting an online application. Submitted portfolios will not be returned.
