Financial Systems Analyst
Provides technical and application support, including training, for automated financial management systems and related applications; ensures the University establishes, maintains and complies with good business policies and procedures; formulates system strategies to accomplish the business and financial reporting needs. Works with the Assistant VP and other senior leadership to assess future technical directions of the University in response to the business and financial reporting needs of the University and governmental agencies; maintains University's policies and procedures within PolicyTech through coordination with respective business process owners. Assists personnel in the efficient use of PeopleSoft and iStrategy (dashboard financial reporting tool); administers web and social media posting for the department and interfaces with the Board of Regents (BOR) Information Technology Support department to resolve issues with remote-hosted systems. Supervises and administers the information component of financial systems to include problem solving, trouble shooting and providing assistance to resolve issues. Manages financial systems projects; works with software developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility, system implementation and user acceptance/usability. Website mastering using Adobe Contribute and Adobe Dreamweaver; performs other related tasks as required. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience; competitive benefits program.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with some computer sciences or accounting information systems education; CPA, Master's Degree, or double major is preferred. Knowledge of accounting practices with a minimum of 5 years' experience as administrator of an accounting information system; solid experience related to automation of manual accounting systems and software implementation. Solid understanding of GAAP; specialized knowledge of business process redesign and project implementation, accounting information systems, SQL programming language and server database management, Crystal Reports, SAP, ADOBE Professional, Contribute, Dreamweaver, and all Microsoft office products. Experience with PeopleSoft Financials is preferred. Background/credit check may be required. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
