Applied Technology Instructor - Continuing and Professional Development
Job Requirements
Applied Technology Instructors include the following areas:
Electrician/Electrical
Industrial Maintenance
Millwright
Pipefitter
Welder
Must have an Associate Degree (or higher level degree) in an appropriately relevant field and at least five (5) years of industry experience;
OR
At least ten (10) years of industry experience in lieu of education requirement;
OR
Hold a Licensure/Certification or relevant experience that would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the position's essential duties.
For respective courses, professional skills and abilities acquired through a combination of education, training and industry experience.
- Training experience working with adult learners.
- Information technology literacy skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Certification/Licensure within specific area of instruction may be required in some cases.
Responsibilities
Provide professional instruction for Continuing & Professional Development (CPD) classes offered through San Jacinto College including the Central, North, and/or South campuses as well as other off-site locations if necessary. Meet course training objectives with excellent instructor evaluations. Complete all required San Jacinto College course completion paperwork in a timely fashion.
Salary
Current approved adjunct rate.
