Examples of Duties:

1. Teach History 41A (The African American in the United States - from the African Heritage through the Civil War).

2. Teach History 41B (the African American in the United States - from Reconstruction to the Present).

3. Teach other African American Studies courses as assigned.

4. Teach courses cross-listed with the Interdisciplinary Studies Department as assigned.

5. Participate in curriculum development.

6. Advise students on issues relating to African American Studies.

7. Act as a liaison with the African American community and student organizations.

8. Participate in conferences and workshops, and symposiums related to African American Studies.

9. Participate in other faculty responsibilities and duties as appropriate, such as department and campus committee work as well as professional development activities.

10. Perform professional duties including, but not limited to, testing, grading, maintaining grade book, maintaining student attendance records, etc.

11. Teach day, evening, and/or Saturday classes at any of the College's campuses as required.

12. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
