Examples of Duties:
1. Plan and deliver instruction in a variety of classes according to requirements of the course outline, Department policies, and College regulations.
2. Development of new teaching-learning methods and materials, such as computer based learning.
3. Teach day, evening, and/or Saturday classes on and off campus as required.
4. Operate instructional equipment necessary to supplement classroom presentations and lead classroom discussion of instructional topics.
5. Develop and distribute supplemental materials related to job opportunities and employment in related occupations as well as materials describing relevant laws and regulations.
6. Perform duties associated with instructing and assessing student progress including, but not limited to, grading, required recordkeeping, performance analysis, as examples.
7. Participate in department duties including, but not limited to, curriculum development, selection of appropriate instructional materials and revision of instructional and testing materials as required.
8. Assist with student recruitment and student advising, including working with CCSF Counselors who specialize in Administration of Justice coursework.
9. Participate in assessment necessary for program evaluation and revision.
10. Participate in department and college functions, such as committee work, faculty evaluations, staff meetings, shared governance and in-service department education.
11. Assist in establishing annual goals relevant to instructional duties.
12. Develop grant funded resources.
13. Work with CCSF Coordinator(s) of SFPD Police Academy.
14. Attend meetings of associated professional organizations, associated governmental agencies, and other community colleges and four-year schools.
15. Maintain currency and depth of knowledge in assigned areas of responsibility and subject matter.
