Educational Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics or related field. Five years experience performing complex administrative support functions in a college or university setting. Previous experience with integrated student data management systems and Microsoft Excel would be helpful. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature and Purpose of Position: Provides advanced support on state and federal reports, external survey data, and other reporting related assignments for Institutional Effectiveness.
Primary Responsibilities: Performs administrative assignments including Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and Curriculum-Based Measurement (CBM) Reports, and in-house reports, surveys, and program assessments. Administers, as assigned, the planning and coordination of complex state, federal and other external report projects where inefficiency may result in financial loss to the institution as a whole. Conducts research for preparation, correction, and dissemination of information relating to assigned duties. Exercises considerable judgment in the interpretation of policy and/or the application of procedures, techniques, or practices to assignments. Plans, coordinates, and follows through to completion the total process involved in the preparation of all reporting responsibilities. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications: Position requires knowledge of integrated student data management systems and proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Requires strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication skills; good organizational skills and attentiveness to detail. Requires the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Requires the ability to consistently perform fine detail work with accuracy. Maintains a professional relationship with academic deans, department chairs, university administrators, other state agencies and representatives. Serves on various committees. Duties require coordination with university faculty and staff; non-academic personnel; college/division/department/program administrators; and others, as required.
