Educational Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree in business administration with emphasis in marketing, public administration, or other field related to Higher Education. Four years experience in public relations, marketing, or other related fields. Experience in Higher Education helpful. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature and Purpose of Position: The On-Campus Recruitment Manager will be responsible for coordinating special events within the division; maintaining communication with building liaisons, SHSU Director of Marketing and Communications, deans, associate deans, departmental chairs, and other key university planners to strategize student recruitment during on-campus events.
Primary Responsibilities: The On-Campus Recruitment Manager will coordinate all arrangements necessary to provide recruitment opportunities at events within the Division (i.e. commencement, Jr. Bearkats, Scout Day at Sam, Summer Camps, Saturdays@Sam, and New Student Welcoming Parties.) Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications: Candidate must possess the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations, have superior interpersonal skills, and communicate well verbally and in written form. Must be able to manage multiple tasks in an energetic work environment. Ability to work evenings and weekends are required.
