Experience Requirement: The candidate must be currently licensed or seeking licensure in Texas. Must demonstrate ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with faculty in a CACREP accredited master's program; advise graduate students; serve on committees; participate in professional organizations. A successful candidate will demonstrate potential for: research and publications, excellence in teaching, and service at the department, college, and university levels. Candidates need to provide evidence of effective interpersonal skills, as well as knowledge and application of skills as a counselor educator. Proficiency with technology/online teaching desirable. Desire to teach research methods at the graduate level is preferred.
Usual Duties: Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: (1) teaching graduate level courses in Counselor Education; (2) advising and supervising graduate level students in the program; (3) advising students in research, theses, and dissertations; (4) participating in professional, program, department, college, and university committees.
Degree Requirements: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Counselor Education from a CACREP institution is preferable.
