This job expired 1 month ago.Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Admissions. Salisbury University is a 4-year, state-supported comprehensive university with an enrollment of approximately 8600.
Primary Job Duties: Develop, implement and execute recruitment and admission strategies that fulfill the University’s enrollment objectives; direct all undergraduate and graduate recruitment and admissions functions; research and plan departmental initiatives; monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of admissions policies, practices and procedures; lead in the development of recruitment materials to promote the university and establish strategies for communicating with prospective and admitted students utilizing current technologies; manage the admissions process, including the review of applicant information and decisions; oversee events for prospective students and families, such as Open Houses, group visitations, bus trips, receptions, daily visitations and group presentations; oversee the student host program; oversee the day-to-day operations of the Admissions Office; oversee the supervision and training of staff members; participate in the budget management process; and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree and five years of professional admissions, recruitment, or related experience in higher education. Valid driver’s license required.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of services, issues and best practices related to the admissions and enrollment process; demonstrated planning and exceptional organizational skills; excellent supervisory, organizational leadership, time management, customer service, interpersonal, team building, and oral & written communication skills; effective public speaking and presentation skills; ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment and handle multiple priorities; strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to think strategically, develop collaborative relationships, and work effectively with diverse groups; strong information technology skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of PeopleSoft is a plus.
This is a full-time exempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
