Records, Registration and Graduation Specialist II
The Records, Registration and Graduation Specialist II will provide enrollment support in the Office of the Registrar for a 1500 count student body. Serve as a designated School Official (SEVIS) and back-up Veterans Affairs Certifying Official. The Records, Registration and Graduation Specialist II will report to the Senior Associate Registrar. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Primary contact for F-1 VISA International students; Ensure students maintain an active status; maintain and update the University’s I-17/Recertification record in SEVIS; Ensure the University remains in compliance with all regulations of the Department of Home Land Security and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agencies; Assist primary Veterans Affairs Certifying Official ensuring 50 plus Veterans are properly enrolled and notifying the primary of any enrollment changes, which would result in certification updates with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs; Attend local workshops regarding Veteran’s Affairs Education Benefits; Participate in fall, spring and summer registrations, adjusting schedules and printing statements; Assist in the preparation of and participate in the Spring Commencement Exercises, as specified by the Registrar; Support the Senior Associate Registrar for Academics and Classroom Scheduling for classroom scheduling and usage as needed; Serve as backup to the Records, Registration and Graduation Specialist I in enrollment verification and grade changes; and any other duties as assigned by either the Registrar or Senior Associate Registrar.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. The desired candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel; have experience with internet browsing and email required; be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and be customer-oriented; and in addition, a positive and will attitude, integrity and reliability are key characteristics.
