Adjunct Instructor of Human Resource Management
The School of Business and Technology invites applicants for an Adjunct Instructor of Human Resource Management. Applicants must be qualified for appointment at the associate/assistant level including a doctoral degree in Management or related area of business. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience who also have significant experience in Human Resource Management. Applicant should be able to teach topics such as: Human Resource Management, Labor Relations, Compensation and Incentive Systems, Human Resource Training and Management Development, and Human Resource Selection and Compensation. Applicant must be able to communicate and work with students from various social, cultural, and disciplinary backgrounds. Applicant must provide evidence of effective classroom teaching; scholarship/research; and institutional and professional contributions. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide instruction of undergraduate courses; Engage in research and producing scholarship in the field of accounting that can be published; Keeping abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional organizations and conferences; Pursue professional development, particularly in the areas of teaching, curriculum and in the field of specialization; Advising students on academic and vocational curricula and career issues; Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Personnel, Management or related area of business required. However, a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or DBA) is preferred. In addition, the candidate should have achieved PHR or SPHR Certification from the Society for Human Resource management. In the absence of an advanced degree, appropriate professional experience in the previous ten years is required for appointment.
