Criminal Justice Instructor (adjunct)
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College seeks applicants for Criminal Justice Instructor (adjunct) beginning spring semester 2013.
The Criminal Justice Instructor is a part-time faculty member who is a content specialist in the field of Criminal Justice. He/She shall teach traditional Criminal Justice Courses as deemed necessary by the Criminal Justice Program Chair. This person shall maintain a part-time teaching load to include traditional day/night Criminal Justice courses as established by the Criminal Justice Program Chair within the guidelines of College Policy. This person shall report directly to the Program Chair of Criminal Justice Technology.
Master's degree in criminal justice or a master's degree in a related field with at least 18 semester hours of graduate work in criminal justice; 3-5 years teaching experience. This person must have experience in teaching traditional Criminal Justice Courses. Must be committed to the "open door" philosophy, good team member and maintain a positive attitude.
Desired Education/Experience/Skills:
Currently employed in a two-year college; experience teaching criminal justice courses; and 1-3 years work experience in the field of Criminal Justice. It is also preferred this person have experience in teaching On-line Criminal Justice Courses.
