Job Summary: The Multimedia Technology Specialist will provide technology support for MMS. The Specialist will maintain classroom technology and provide technology training and support to both MMS personnel and end users. This role provides troubleshooting and problem solving to end users. Assist faculty and staff in the use of all classroom technology, including computers, projectors, Interactive white boards, audio and video systems, and peripheral devices. Plays an important role in effort to create, promote, and facilitate the use of technology rich learning environments. Setup, operate and tear down sound systems including PA, speakers & a variety of wired and wireless microphones Maintain a high level of communication and collaboration with all technology support departments and ITS teams to ensure prompt, effective resolution of problems. Strong customer service skills absolutely necessary. Must be highly service oriented, dependable, enthusiastic, energetic and eager to assist people with computers as well as AV equipment. Identify potential operational efficiencies and help develop service models that provide the end user with all tools and services needed for effective classroom instruction. Assist operating the videoconferencing rooms. Help document operating and troubleshooting procedures. Stay informed of the latest trends and issues related to classroom technology equipment and services. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of computers, projectors, Interactive white boards, and other equipment.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent education and training
