Job Summary: The Financial Aid Information Systems Analyst provides technical support and assistance to the Office of Financial Aid and serves as the primary support for technology needs, in conjunction with the Office of Information Technology, serving end users and related functional users The Analyst oversees technology and systems in support of all financial aid functions, oversees digital communication to students seeking financial aid and serves as the liaison to other campus units with regard to financial aid system needs. In addition, aligns all financial aid systems with federal regulations to ensure compliance and assists the Director with all institutional reporting regarding financial aid. Responsibilities include: Assist the Director of Financial Aid with implementation of any new Financial Aid modules and on-going use of Banner Financial Aid. Setup and maintain validation tables, rules, forms, and Banner processes for Financial Aid. Develop, document, and maintain functional processes for Financial Aid using Banner processes. Design and develop reports for end-users using report writing tools selected by Roosevelt University (e g. Argos). Train core and end users with Financial Aid on Banner functional processes; and train end users in other offices of Financial Aid functional processes and procedures. Coordinate and test SunGard and USDOE upgrades, patches and changes in the system as required and in conjunction with the information Technology staff. Develop and maintain strong communication with other RU Banner module stewards and coordinators. Actively participate in cross functional working groups and committees for operational issues from the functional perspective Process loan reconciliation, SAP Process (run and update rules, etc.) maintenance of policy and procedure manual, New Year set-up, IBHE and FISAP Reporting, Aid cancellation for non-enrolled students. Other duties as assigned.
