President of Rocky Vista University

The Board of Trustees of Rocky Vista University (RVU), a for-profit health sciences university located in Parker, Colorado, has empanelled a Search Committee to conduct a search for President of RVU. Candidates should have strong management and interpersonal skills, committed to exercise shared collaborative leadership with a strong administrative team, and excited at the prospect of providing leadership to a new entrepreneurial institution committed to providing quality medical education and maintaining all relevant accreditations. The candidate should be a visionary, with the ability to maintain and foster strong internal and external strategic relationships and partnerships. Additionally, the candidate should have good interpersonal skills exercise sound judgment and be collegial in his or her leadership style. For consideration, an applicant must have a graduate degree appropriate to the needs of the University, with a terminal degree preferred. The candidate must also have management experience of increasing responsibility of at least seven (7) years, preferably in an academic or healthcare field. The Board’s goal is for the Search Committee to submit the names of no more than four qualified candidates by mid-May 2012 for consideration by the Board at its July 27, 2012 meeting. The anticipated start date for the selected candidate is the Fall of 2012.
